Booking Conditions

Whale Watchers Retreat is a very private and sophisticated accommodation experience in Bicheno on the sunny East Coast of Tasmania. Our vision is to provide this unique experience to those who desire it as effectively as possible. However, it is not always possible to secure a booking because it is already booked. In order to implement our vision the following booking conditions now apply.
Tentative Bookings. You can tentatively book your holiday at Whale Watchers Retreat any time subject to availability.
Confirmation. Your holiday at Whale Watchers Retreat will be confirmed subject to full payment of ground content only, or the payment of a deposit of $100 plus a credit card number and expiry date, at least 21 days prior to your date of arrival.
Cancellation. If your booking or part of your booking is subsequently cancelled within 14 days of your arrival date a 50% cancellation fee will apply. If your booking is subsequently cancelled within 7 days of your arrival date a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
Amendments. If you wish to amend your booking the following fees will apply; within 14 days of your arrival date, $50. Within 7 days of arrival date, $75.
Wait List. If your confirmation payment is not received 21 days prior to your arrival date, your tentative booking will be placed on our wait list. If you are on our wait list and a booking becomes available, full payment of ground content only must be made within 7 days of notification of the availability.
Payment. Cheques and money orders are to be made payable to Whale Watchers Retreat credit card payment by phone and Eftpos facility available.
Minimum stays. Long weekends - 2 nights, Easter - 4 nights, Christmas - 4 nights, New Year - 3 nights.
Cancellation Insurance. Insurance against unexpected events that prevent you from taking your holiday at Whale Watchers Retreat can be obtained to the value of $1800. Cost; $20 per person, $40 per family. Conditions apply.
